Created by joseph a. amatoas a gift to t'kemlups te secwepemc in honour of the 2021 discovery of 215 unmarked graves of children near the Kamloops residential school site. the epoxy river is symbolic of the thompson river that flows past t'kemlups te secwepemc first nation. cedar, sage, sweetgrass and tobacco are the four sacred plants accented in the epoxy river. the removable copper feather tray is hand-shaped with western yew handle wrapped in deer hide.
